It has been a year since power couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tied the knot on August 23 in a very private ceremony in France. Since their meeting in the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005, Brangelina proves to be a lasting love in the Hollywood world.
In a special interview by Hello Magazine, the couple gushed about the significance of having a wedding after their solid 10-year union.
"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," the couple said in a joint statement.
The 51-year old actor expressed his happiness being a married man and how the wedding commemorates the idea.
"I was surprised afterwards at the effect that getting married has had on us - it was more than just a ceremony, it meant a real depth of commitment. I feel like a married man - I really do," he said.
Angelina can also be remembered talking the ceremony in an interview at the US Today show, RTE said.
In the interview, the award-winning actress talked about how the ceremony is a form of 'recommitting' after ten years of union and how absolutely sure they are to commit their life together.
"It did change things. It was in just a feeling of that security and comfort that we always had, but recommitting after 10 years together...So it was all of us agreeing to be together and to commit to this life together - not because we had to, not because anything was missing in our lives but because we were absolutely sure. It was really lovely, it was a lovely day," she said.
