One Scene From 'Friends' That Was Deleted Has Resurfaced
One scene from 'Friends' that was originally deleted from the hit TV show is now resurfacing.
Originally uploaded in 2007, it is coming up again on the Internet. It is raising its head probably because more people are able to access the reruns which have become available for streaming on Netflix.
The scene was supposed to be telecast on October 11, 2001. However, it was pulled back on 9/11, because of some material that was looked at as "insensitive".
In the scene, Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) are leaving home for their honeymoon, however they are stopped by the airport security following Chandler's joke regarding a bomb.
Before the deleted scene is shown, there is a dialogue that is beamed: "As part of the history of the show, we hope that the scenes can now be viewed in the spirit which they were originally intended."
