Snoop Dogg’s Son Quits UCLA Football Team to Pursue Film Career
Snoop Dogg's son, Cordell Broadus, a top wide receiver prospect, has quit the football team at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Head coach Jim Mora revealed that Cordell did not attend the first week of training camp in order to "pursue other passions in his life - in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions."
Mora added, "Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree."
Cordell accepted the offer to play for the UCLA Bruins in February. His decision to quit has shocked many especially after his recruitment process was documented in a miniseries titled Snoop & Son. The ESPN series showed off Cordell's promising career in football.
TMZ is reporting that the freshman still plans on taking classes at UCLA. Cordell could still return to football if he changes his mind.
