Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown Goes to Comedy Club after Daughter’s Death
Entertainer Bobby Brown was seen having a good time at a comedy club shortly after the death of his 22-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
Brown attended the Ha Ha Café Comedy Club in Los Angeles on Tuesday night with six other family members.
"He was in a good mood," an onlooker said to PEOPLE.
A second observer added, "He was jovial... he was fairly open with his feelings with fans, stating that he was heartbroken."
This is Brown's first public outing since Bobbi Kristina was buried next to her late mother, music legend, Whitney Houston, in New Jersey on Aug. 3.
"My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable," Brown had said via his lawyer last week.
Brown has had a tough couple of weeks. Shortly after his daughter passed away, his wife, Alicia Etheredge had a seizure at an event that followed Bobbi Kristina's funeral. The funeral was held at the Saint James United Methodist Church in Georgia.
On top of this health scare, Brown is currently in the middle of a lawsuit that he filed against Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend/finance, Nick Gordon.
The lawsuit is alleging Gordon of causing Bobbi Kristina's "wrongful death." Gordon is also being accused of giving Bobbi Kristina a "toxic cocktail" on the day that she was found. Gordon's lawyers have since replied, stating that the lawsuit is "slanderous and meritless."
Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31. Since that incident, she had never recovered. Bobbi Kristina was first placed in a medically induced coma at a hospital. However, after months of no real changes, she was transferred to a hospice center.
Bobbi Kristina died on July 26.
