Last week, one hiker was mauled and killed by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park, according to discovery.

It was a 63-year-old man, Lance Crosby, from Billings, Montana, who works for a company that runs urgent care clinics in the park, according to abcnews.

A quick probe by the National Park Service disclosed that his body showed "defensive wounds". His remains were "partially consumed" near Lake village.

On Monday, the authorities said that they caught the grizzly bear that attacked him.

Animal Planet large predator expert Dave Salmoni said that most grizzly bear attacks are due to mothers protecting their cubs. A National Park Service statement also suggested "an adult female grizzly and at least one cub-of-the-year were present and likely to have been involved in the incident."
