‘Dance Moms’ Season 5, Episode 31 Spoilers: Maddie Ziegler gets Emotional in Promo Clip
The season finale of "Dance Moms" is bound to be filled with a lot of tears.
In a promo clip for the episode, fans got to see the girls from the Abby Lee Dance Company practice their group number, "Waiting Room." While they were going through the steps, Abby asked them to give her more emotion. When Miller asked Ziegler specifically, Ziegler's mom, Melissa, stepped in and gave her advice.
Melissa tells Ziegler to draw her emotions from her memory of Abby's mother, Maryen Lorrain Millers. Ziegler starts to tear up while hugging her teacher, who is also getting very emotional.
Tonight's episode will be all about the Nationals, which the Abby Lee Dance Company has won four years in a row.
"This is the culmination of all the work that the kids have done all year," Abby said in another clip. "This is a big deal! This is our fifth season to go to Nationals. We won all four times."
During her pep talk, instead of praising the young girls for winning 15 out of 25 competitions this year, Abby focused on the 10 that they lost, stating that she would not bet on those odds.
"I'm not gonna go to the racetrack and say, 'Oooh yeah, I'm gonna bet on that pony!' No. That horse should be taken out back and shot," she said.
Abby's company, despite their success, has been known for belittling and bullying the dancers in order to motivate them to get better.
The summer finale of "Dance Moms" will be airing tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
