Alabama Is Third State to De-Fund 'Planned Parenthood'

Alabama is now the third state to "de-fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business". There were five videos that exhibited how the body parts of aborted babies are sold to scientists for research.

This state is now third in the list after Louisiana, which is now taking back a signed treaty with "Planned Parenthood" with the help of state Medicaid dollars. New Hampshire too rejected $650,000 in state taxpayer funding for the abortion company.

"The move follows Senate Democrats defeating a bill to de-fund Planned Parenthood," according to lifenews.

The Governor, Robert Bentley, tweeted that Alabama would be stopping the state taxpayer funding to the abortion company. The Governor has sent a letter to the head of the Planned Parenthood abortion business in Alabama, with some information of his decision.

According to a local news report: "GOP councilor Chris Sununu, who has supported Planned Parenthood in the past, voted against the contract, saying the state should be investigating the practices of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England."

"This vote eliminates about a third of Planned Parenthood's funding, as it also receives money through federal contract," the report continued.

In Louisiana, its Department of Health and Hospitals said that it is exercising its right to stop Planned Parenthood's Medicaid provider agreement.

Governor Jindal said, "In recent weeks, it has been shocking to see reports of the alleged activities taking place at Planned Parenthood facilities across the country. Planned Parenthood does not represent the values of the people of Louisiana and shows a fundamental disrespect for human life. It has become clear that this is not an organization that is worthy of receiving public assistance from the state."

His office referred to the probe he sought after the first of four videos was released. The governor said "multiple videos have surfaced showing Planned Parenthood Federation of America senior personnel and other employees describing how they actively engage in illegal partial birth abortion procedures and conduct these abortions in a manner that leaves body parts intact so that they can later be sold on the open market. Since these videos have surfaced, Governor Jindal has directed DHH to investigate Planned Parenthood's activities in Louisiana and also sent a letter to both the Louisiana Inspector General and the F.B.I. asking them to assist in the investigation."

The first video of undercover footage exhibits Planned Parenthood Federation of America's Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood trades the body parts of "aborted unborn children". She also admits that she uses "partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts".

In the second video, Planned Parenthood doctor Maru Gatter talks about the prices of aborted baby body parts. She explains to the biotech company officials that the rates of a baby's liver, head or heart are negotiable. She also tells the officials that "she could talk with the Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners to potentially alter the abortion procedure to kill the baby in a way that would best preserve those body parts after the unborn child is killed in the abortion," according to lifenews.

An in-depth investigation has been started by 12 states, including South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts, Kansas, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana and members of Congress.
