Man's Tattoo For Hearing Impaired Daughter Becomes Viral

Recently, an interesting tattoo on the head of Alistair Campbell from Taupo, New Zealand, has gone viral.

Alistair shaved his head totally and got a tattoo in order to show his support and solidarity for his daughter, Charlotte, 6 years, who got her own first implant when she was 4. Recently, she got her second cochlear implant inserted.

The sight of her father's tattoo impressed her. She giggled, touched it, and told him it was "cool," according to fox10phoenix.

Alistair said that he would be growing his hair again, yet he would shave it to show off the tattoo for particular occasions or when Charlotte got interested.

At first she was thought to have a mild hearing impairment, but soon her family found that she was deaf in her left ear and could hear limited sounds from the right ear. Yet her disability was somewhat expected, as her maternal grandmother and eight-year-old brother, Lewis, also suffer hearing impairments, The New Zealand Herald  said.

The transplant has helped Charlotte to hear sound as well as judge its direction, said The Hearing House fundraising and communications manager, Mary Jane Boland. The Hearing House is a charity for deaf children and their families.

Charlotte's mother, Anita Campbell, has already noticed Charlotte's transformation from "introvert to social butterfly" after she received her first device.

The father-daughter photo is making a buzz on social media, with a large number of supporters.
