Riding high on the success of "Furious 7" production of the next installment in the Fast and Furious series Furious 8 is underway and slated for world premier on April 17, 2017, according to the film's executive producer and protagonist Vin Diesel. This has put an end to all the confusion surrounding the future of the series with the tragic death of Paul Walker in a car accident.

The stage has already been set for next installment in the Furious series by making small modifications to the original endings. The new ending made room for Kurt Russell's character "Mr.Nobody" to play a significant role in the next installment.

According to Comic Book, Vin Diesel speaking on Jimmy Kimmel live revealed that Mr. Nobody will have a larger role in the Furious 8 story set in New York, as against the series installment thus far shot in Los Angeles backdrop.

James Wan had to step in after Lin, who directed many of the previous installments decided not to work on this one. Wan, though an expert in directing horror films surprised everyone by delivering the installment that is creating history at the box office. However, according to Deadline.com Furious 8 may see the return of Justin Lin. This was also hinted by Wan, and Vin Diesel on various occasions.

The installment may also see the return of Dwayne Johnson, Vin, Jason Statham with most of the original cast. Producers of the franchise have confirmed that the installment will not use Paul Walker's character Brain O'Conner.

Finally, 26-year-old Cody Walker, brother of Paul who has also helped finish some of the scenes for Furious 7 with the sudden tragic death of Paul , which left the film with a few scenes unfinished, will also play a role in the film along with Caleb , Paul's another brother.

Diesel said, "Paul used to say Furious 8 is guaranteed and in some ways when your brother guarantees something you make sure it comes to pass." So if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it; "Furious 7 was for Paul; furious 8 is for Paul."

At the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Diesel surprised everyone when he sang; "see you again," as an emotional tribute to his co-star and friend Paul Walker.
