Cara Delevingne Defends Awkward Interview with ‘Good Day Sacramento’

Cara Delevingne has addressed her very awkward interview with "Good Day Sacramento."

The 22-year-old model turned actress tweeted an explanation a few days after being called out by the local news anchors. Her message read: "Some people just don't understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour."

The interview, which has since gone viral, started off on the wrong foot when one of the hosts, Marianne McClary addressed the "Paper Towns" actress as "Carla." After that mistake, the very first question that she asked was whether or not Delevingne got the chance to read the book.

In response to the "condescending" question, as noted by actor Zach Braff, Delevingne provided a very sarcastic response.

"No I never read the book or the script actually. I kind of winged it," she said before adding, "Of course I read the book."

The interview then continued to sour when the hosts decided that she was being too bratty for them. "I saw you in London talking a couple of week ago on TV and you seemed a lot more excited about it than you do right now," one of the male hosts commented. "Are you exhausted?"

Delevingne then gave a straightforward answer, stating that it is the morning after all. Her answer, once again, was not well received at all.

McClary said, "You do seem a bit irritated. Perhaps it's just us," to which Delevingne responded, "Yea, I think it's just you."

McClary then decides to cut the interview short and tells the actress to go and "take a little nap, maybe get a red bull."

When the interview is cut, McClary said, "She was in a mood."

"You make $5 million for six weeks worth of work, you can pretend to talk to Good Day Sacramento with some oomph," said one of the male hosts.

McClary and one of the hosts, Kenneth Rudolph have since tweeted about the interview

Rudolph's tweet read, "Yeah, I could have asked a better question. That was my bad. LOL."

Rudolph had asked Delevingne if she had difficulties concentrating since she has been so busy lately. Is it unclear whether or not his tweet is serious. McClary's tweet, however, was very to the point.

She tweeted, "Check out how a true class act deals with his jillionth interview: Sir Ian McKellan!" The tweet was accompanied with a clip of McKellan.

Delevingne's tweet has been retweeted about 32,000 times. She also received the support of several other celebrities as well as her fans.

Delevingne has been promoted "Paper Towns," which she stars opposite Nat Wolff.
