Bushfire Survivor Turia Pitt And Michael Hoskin's Love Story Sounds Immortal
Now what love is all about isn't too clear. Yet, one story shows that love can indeed conquer all, and survive even bushfire, according to indiatimes.
This touching story of childhood sweethearts will make you believe it. Bushfire survivor Turia Pitt is engaged to Michael Hoskin and says, "I am stoked to have this beautiful man in my life." She has posted on Instagram, "You bring out the best in me and I can't wait for the rest of our lives together."
The situation took a turn when Turia encountered a crisis. It was in 2011 that Pitt was caught in a bushfire in a 100-km marathon in Kimberley. Having gone through endless burns, she had 65 percent of her body damaged. Losing her right hand fingers and thumb and spending five months in the hospital undergoing 200 surgeries made her despair.
But Michael stood by her like a rock through all her ordeal. He proposed while she was in her intensive care unit in the Maldives.
For four years, Turia says that she has been trying to begin a fresh chapter into her life, and Michael has supported her patiently. Although the accident has changed her life, she feels that her relationship with Hoskin is growing.
She adds: "Michael's my life partner, I've known that for years - and we've talked about marriage for as long as I can remember, and yet the proposal still comes as a surprise," according to mirror.
Former policeman Michael said: "When Turia was in intensive care four years ago I bought a diamond ring."
Michael calls his girlfriend "beautiful" and amazing. Leaving his job as a police officer, he shifted to western Australia to take care of Turia.
Love, then, lives everywhere!
