Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson News Update: R-Patz’s Mother Prefers FKA twigs over Vampire Ex
Robert Pattinson's family is reportedly happy that he will be settling down with British musician FKA twigs. According to several reports, the actor's mother in particular, was never a huge fan of his "Twilight" co-star and former girlfriend, Kristen Stewart.
"They think she's great for him, and are happy that it wasn't Kristen in the end because they didn't have the same feeling for her they have for Twigs," an alleged source told Dailymail. "It's no secret that Robert's sisters Lizzy and Victoria found it especially difficult to communicate with Kristen and build a relationship with her. However, Twigs is far more open and easy to get on with."
Celeb Dirty Laundry is claiming that Pattinson's mom, Clare, never trusted Stewart and still fears that the actress might come in between her son and FKA twigs despite the fact that both of them has clearly moved on. The website adds that Clare's fears are unrealistic.
The article then questions the relationship between Pattinson and Stewart:
"The over-protective mother issue is understandable, but did Clare really believe Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's relationship was real? Even if Rob and Kristen were legitimately dating, their "love" was clearly a showmance that helped bring fans into the 'Twilight' saga. It's possible Robert might have been into the relationship with Stewart, but Kristen never seemed to really like Pattinson. Even then, Rob brushed off her cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders telling Esquire UK, 'S- happens, you know? It's just young people... it's normal! And honestly, who gives a s-?'"
Stewart and Pattinson met on the set of the "Twilight" movies. After making fans' dreams come true by dating off the screen, the couple broke up when Stewart's affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsmen" director, Rupert Sanders surfaced. Sanders was married at the time.
Stewart is currently rumored to be dating Alicia Cargile and does not keep in contact with Pattinson at all.
