TLC has officially cancelled on the series 19 Kids And Counting on Thursday two months after Josh Duggar's molestation scandal among girls in the show was exposed on public.

"TLC and the Duggar family have decided to not move forward with '19 Kids and Counting. The show will no longer appear on the air," the TV station said in an official statement as reported by CNN Money.

The Duggar family has also assured that their family has healed from the recent 'terrible' situation that their family has went through.

"With God's grace and help Josh, our daughters and our entire family overcame a terrible situation, found healing and a way forward.

It is our prayer that the painful situation our family went through many years ago can point people toward faith in God and help others who also have lived through similar dark situations to find help, hope and healing, as well," wrote a statement from the Duggar family.

Amidst the sensitivity of the issue, TLC will have a one-hour documentary special on the issue of child molestation. The show will have partnership with the advocacy groups RAINN (short for the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and Darkness to Light.

The Duggar family had also cooperated with TLC's plan hoping that it will be an inspiration for molestation victims to come out in the open.

"We look forward to working with TLC on this upcoming special documentary and hope that it is an encouragement to many," the Duggars said in a statement.

It was previously learned in May that four victims were part of the Duggar family and one was a babysitter. Josh Duggar had also admitted having touched the victims when he was younger, Fox News said.

Jessa Seewald, who was one of the victims, previously said that the extent of Josh's molestation was exaggerated by the media.

"He made some bad choices, but really the extent of it was mild, inappropriate touching, on fully clothed victims, most of it while girls were sleeping" she once told the news outlet.

According to NBC News, two of the molested members of the Duggar family have already forgiven Josh Duggar twelve years after the incident.
