Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper Reunite for ‘Joy’ [Watch Trailer Here]
Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have reunited with director David O. Russell for "Joy."
In the new teaser trailer, Lawrence's character Joy grows up, graduates from college and gets married with kids before her world seemingly starts to fall apart. In one part of the clip, Joy gets arrested, while in the others, she is crying and fighting. The trailer than flash-forwards to a scene where Joy is shooting a gun and says "My name's Joy, by the way."
Cooper plays an executive at the Home Shopping Network who helps Joy sell her Miracle Mop. "You Can't Always Get What You Want" by The Rolling Stones plays in the background.
The movie is based on the real life story of Joy Mangano, the woman who invented the Miracle Mop. "Joy" follows her story from being a poor single mother of three, holding different jobs, to becoming the head of a billion-dollar family empire, Ingenious Designs.
This movie will be the third project that Lawrence and Cooper have worked on together with Russell and the fourth overall film that the actors have starred in together.
The other two projects that the trio worked on were "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle." Lawrence won her very first Oscar for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook" and was nominated for another in "American Hustle." Cooper was also nominated for an Academy Award for his role in both movies.
This is also the third time that Robert De Niro has worked with Russell, Lawrence and Cooper.
"Joy" also stars, Edgar Ramirez, Virginia Madsen and Isabella Rossellini.
The movie will come out on Christmas Day.
