Bill Cosby, the vilified comedian, has been removed from his pedestal in the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida, said a Disney spokesman early Wednesday as per nbcnews.

On Tuesday night, when the Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park was closed, the bust was removed from its pedestal, said the spokesman.

Cosby's statue had been installed in the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame Plaza at the park. The entire set of luminaries include Walt Disney, Lucille Ball, Oprah Winfrey, Bob Newhart, Dick Clark and Andy Griffith, according to cnn. Although one petition called for the removal of the statue on Change.org, it managed to gather just 273 signatures before Disney Park's decision to remove the statue.

About a dozen women have filed charges of sexual assault against Bill Cosby. He is now 77 years old, and has never faced a criminal charge or admitted to having committed a crime. Disagreeing with the allegations, he is trying to terminate the court cases.

On Monday, Pennsylvania, some copies were opened that showed that he had been admitted in a 2005 deposition through which he got prescriptions of the powerful sedative methaqualone, also known by the name Quaalude, in order to give to women he wanted to have sex with.

Janice Dickinson, a 60-year-old model, said to etonline  : "I don't know how to feel. I don't have the strength at the moment until each and every one of the women that have accused Bill Cosby, along with myself and a few other women -- I want an apology for each and every one of us in order for my soul to heal. I don't feel any 'hip-hip hooray.'"
