Ben Affleck Jennifer Garner Divorce Updates: Ex-Couple Trying Vacationing In Bahamas Days After Announcing Split; Still Agreed To Do ‘Co-Parenting’ Despite Moving On
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner took their whole family on vacation to the Bahamas days after their divorce announcement made headlines on Tuesday last week.
They got the kids out of L.A. as soon as school was out. [The Bahamas] is a place they've been going to for years that's very private and special for their kids. When either of them have had work commitments, they have been leaving to go fulfill them," a source from US Weekly said via Franchise Herald.
The move is part of their decision to keep their three kids Violet (9), Seraphina (6) and Samuel (3) safe from the media eye and to fulfill their agreement to co-parent their kids despite the split.
The vacation is said to have gone smoothly with Ben enjoying activities with his kids and Jen making sure that their kids are taken care of, People reports.
"He spent a great deal of time hanging with the kids this weekend. They had a lot of great activities they were able to do together with the family and separately that he really appreciated," a source said.
Garner "made sure the vacation was for the kids. She is an amazing and attentive mother and everything she does is with the kids in mind," another source said to be the actress' close friend said.
The couple publicly announced their divorce on Tuesday last week, a day after their 10th year anniversary.
"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding," the couple's earlier official statement said.
Meanwhile, the Gone Girl actor seeks advice from his ex Gwyneth Paltrow as to how she and ex-spouse Chris Martin cope with the divorce, Expose said.
"Gwyneth has been through a marriage break-up herself, so understands."
