Vanessa Williams Ties the Knot With Jim Skrip
Vanessa Williams tied the knot with fiancée Jim Skrip on Saturday, 4th July in New York.
The 52 year old model and actress had earlier announced news of her engagement to Skrip last September during an appearance on 'The Queen Latifah Show.'
During the interview Williams said, "I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen ... I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings."
In another interview earlier this year, she talked to Madame Noire about how she first met Skrip who also happens to hail from her mother's town of Buffalo, N.Y.
"You never know what you'll find and where," she said. "I was on vacation with my daughter going to Egypt, cruising on the Nile."
"I wasn't looking for anything," Vanessa added. "I'd been alone for a number of years and divorced for 10 years at that time."
Skrip "accepted me for who I was after a wonderful first three-hour date of talking about ourselves. We found out we had a lot in common."
This is the third marriage for Williams, who also has four children with exes Rick Fox and Ramon Hervey.
