Josh Duggar Latest Update: A Lawsuit Coming The Family's Way? Details Of Police Guarding Duggars Emerge
The Duggar family may be dragged to court as one of Josh Duggar's molestations victims is set file a lawsuit.
According to In Touch, the non-family victim could force Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to reveal details about the scandal while they depose. The senior Duggars are likely to be asked about their role in providing counseling to the victims and son Josh when the first instance of molestations took place in 2002, when Josh was a teenager. The victims, all minors, include two of Josh sisters who have stood by their brother.
Ever since the allegations of molestation resurfaced two months ago, Jim Bob and Michele have been questioned about what they did as parents, including what safeguards they provided for their daughters and son. A source was quoted by In Touch saying that senior Church members knew about Josh molesting minors and they are likely to be questioned.
Arkansas law allows a victim to sue even after several years of sexual abuse. Such the lawsuit be allowed in court, Duggar's reality show 19 Kids and Counting on TLC could become a conduit for scandalous details and what the family did (or did not) to handle it.
Another In Touch report claims that Arkansas Police in Tontitown provided security to the Duggars when off-duty on May 20 and 21. The new revelations raises doubts of improprieties as the police are investigating the Duggars. The Department of Humans Services is also investigating after one of its officials called the police on May 27 when barred from entering the Duggar home to check the welfare of a minor.
