We might be seeing iPod refresh sometime this year, according to a newly discovered image in the iTunes 12.2. Released this week, the latest update of iTunes includes support for Apple Music.

In the iTunes 12.2 a picture of an iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPod Shuffle was spotted but the colors that the devices in the picture are sporting, is currently unavailable. The composite image shows up when a user connects an iPod to iTunes for the first time, or chooses to restore it.

There's been no official word from Apple about when the iPod line-up might ever be refreshed, however a rumor surfaced earlier this year that a new iPod Touch might be announced this fall, featuring a minimum update of current processors and cameras inside, SlashGear reported.

According to rumors, a 4.7 -inch screen is also expected to match the iPhone 6's size including a TouchID fingerprint scanner.

According to the spotted images of iPods in iTunes, the size of iPod Touch might remain the same, hopefully with new colors.

Earlier, Apple has always announced new iPods in early September, so most likely we should be able to get more details then.
