George And Amal Clooney Noisy Neighbors, Even Before Moving In!
Having George and Amal Clooney for neighbors should be a 'dream come true' for most people but residents of a Berkshire Village near Reading in UK are not having too happy celebrity couple as neighbors.
The Cloonies purchased a $20 million property in the village soon after they married last year. The couple originally planned to move at the end of July, reports The Economic Times. Renovation of the estate has been delayed and the star couple is unlikely to move in by the end of this year.
Residents of the village in the neighborhood are a hassled lot as the noisy renovations have left them sleepless.
"Half the locals love having a celebrity in town others think he's the worst neighbor you could have. The construction's been going on for months and we will be lucky if it finishes before the year is out," an unidentified inhabitant reportedly said according to Economic Times.
The Clooney estate is being bolstered against floods that the river Thames may cause, which is causing the delay. Architects also planned defenses against bats, otters and rodents.
