Olympus Launches New Air A01 - A Lens-Type Camera That Uses Your Smartphone to Take Shots

Olympus has launched a new camera - Air A01 - which has no LCD, no SD card and no dial and it connects to your smartphone to take pictures.

The camera will compete directly with similar cameras rolled out by DxO and Sony with an added advantage. Air A01 lets users to replace lenses just like any other standard mirrorless camera out there.

Olympus Air A01 sports an extra ordinary 16Mp lens with two high-tech micro sized sensors.

This camera can support any of the company's recently shipped lens and users can easily attach it to its front. The lens type camera can then be clipped on to your smartphone, and you can easily begin capturing amazing photographs, TNT noted.

In terms of connectivity, the lens is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth. Among other features, it has a silent electronic shutter, 10fps continuous shooting, full HD video, USB charging, a dedicated app, RAW capture, and a battery life of 320 shots per charge.

Olympus Air A01 is coming to the US this month for $300.
