Newly Single Sean Penn Helps Minka Kelly Celebrate 35th Birthday

Sean Penn wasted no time to find a potential new girlfriend after splitting up with Charlize Theron.

Penn, 54, who has been single for just a few weeks, was seen helping Minka Kelly celebrate her 35th birthday last Wednesday. Although the pair was not alone, many are speculating that Penn could be starting a romance with the actress. Kelly also had three other friends at the dinner.

At the end of the intimate dinner party, which was held at French Laundery in San Francisco's Napa Valley, everyone at Penn's table sang "Happy Birthday" to Kelly, who then blew out the candles.

Penn reportedly paid for the entire feast, which included chicken, truffle mac and cheese and the surprise birthday cake.

Kelly posted two pictures from the dinner party. Penn cannot be seen in either shot. Kelly also did not mention him at all in her captions.

Kelly was most recently linked to "Captain America" actor, Chris Evans. Penn dated Theron for a year and a half. They quietly ended their engagement in May. Penn was previously married to actress Robin Wright and Madonna.

Sources claimed that Penn told Kelly's friends that they met at a Haiti Charity event.
