U.S Human Rights report Politically Motivated, says Russian Foreign Ministry

The United States has released a new Human Rights Report stating that the political system in Russia was becoming increasingly authoritarian. It also stated that Moscow has passed new guidelines to suppress dissent.

However, the Russian Foreign ministry reacted to the United State's Human Rights Report, calling it politically motivated and having ignored violations by Ukraine.

Alexander Lukashevich, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, said, "As previously, the report is a creation abounding with politicized evaluations and coarse ideological clichés. The methodology of the report is detached from reality and based on an arbitrary ranking of state's level of democracy".
