Did NASA's Curiosity Spot a Pyramid On Mars?

Ever since NASA's Curiosity rover landed on Mars, it found itself entangled by theories, tying it with life on the Red Planet. Not many however have gone viral like the recent find of a 'pyramid'.

Curiosity's recent 'exploit' is the finding of a purported pyramid, the handiwork of 'intelligent life' on Mars. The video showing Martian landscape that was captured by Curiosity's mastcam was posted on June 20 by Paranormal Crucible, garnering more than a million views. The video shows a pyramid-looking rock among rocks and for comparison, similar such structures on Earth, concluding that intelligent beings were responsible for construction of the structure on Mars.

Clearing the air, The Huffington Post reported that the pyramid is a volcanic rock that is no bigger than an 8-ounce soda can. Dr. Jim Bell, deputy principal investigator of the Mastcam investigation program that analyzes images taken by Curiosity said that such rocks with sharp angular cleaving are not uncommon on Earth.

Reactions to the video on Youtube and Twitter suggested that proponents of the intelligent design theory were targeted by skeptics, many who jokingly wondered why there were no camels around pyramids!
