Five Nights at Freddy's 4 Latest Update: New Teaser Reveals Scarier Version Set for Its Halloween Launch
Besides scaring people, game-maker Scott Cawthon is really good at befuddling them. Fans of Five Nights at Freddy's series woke up to a new teaser image this week.
As Cawthon's landing page loads, visitors stare into rows of razor-sharp teeth that extend all the way into the mouth of the haunted animatronics which could be Freddy Fazbear. Fans will notice that the bowtie they saw in the previous teaser is in this one too. The last teaser image showed a purple bowtie, a purple hat in a shadow, which some fans speculate was an animatronics with sharp teeth. The new teaser shows the character in greater detail, implying the next one could reveal more, fans think.
Speculation apart, Cawthon's latest Five Nights at Freddy's 4 teaser image shows the character with sharp teeth also having a jack o'lantern for a stomach, without the lantern. The carved pumpkin has sharp teeth and could actually be a nestled character in the animatronics.
Finally, the date 10.31.15, touted to be the date of the game's launch is back. The date was splashed in all teasers but previous one with the hat and bowtie, leading fans to speculate that the game's date was being pushed. Additionally, the previous teaser when downloaded from an Indiedb profile hinted that the game was a 4.1 version and could involve mini-games. However when the current image is downloaded it simply saves to the disk with the default filename '4'. Whether the fourth will be the last, only Cawthon can tell.
By putting the date back there however, Cawthon may have at laid some rumors to rest.
