Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris Beat out Beyoncé and Jay Z for Title of Highest-Paid Celebrity Couple
Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are making headlines once again. This time, however, the reports are not about how cute and supportive they are of each other, but rather, how much money they made.
According to Forbes, Swift, 25, and Harris, 31, beat out two other celebrity couples, including Beyoncé and Jay Z, for the title of highest-paid celebrity couple. Based on the magazine's calculations, the "Bad Blood" singer and the British DJ raked in a total of $146 million in 2014.
On top of their lucrative incomes from the music industry, Swift and Harris have multiple endorsements. Swift has deals with Diet Coke, Keds and Sony and Harris has a modeling deal with Giorgio Armani. He also has a contract with Sol Republic headphones.
Beyoncé and Jay Z came in a very close second, making a joint $110.5 million, after being named the highest paid celebrity couple the year before. The bulk of their 2014 income came from the On the Rum tour, which was fifth on the list of highest grossing excursions in 2014. Like Swift and Harris, Beyoncé and Jay Z each had their own projects and endorsements as well. To list a few, Beyoncé had endorsements with Pepsi and H&M while Jay Z had deals with Armand de Brignac champagne and D'Ussé cognac.
The third and final spot went to Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. The country superstars made a total of $57 million. In 2014 Shelton performed in more than 40 solo gigs and was a judge on NBC's "The Voice." Lambert also had a very successful year, winning multiple Country Music Awards. Her non-musical projects included Red55 Wine and Pink Pistol.
Forbes will be published its annual Celebrity 100 list on June 29.
