Gmail Reveals ‘Undo Send’ Option

Gmail, started eleven years ago, is one of the popular email services used by approximately 900 million people across the globe.

Google has designed the Gmail platform in a user friendly manner, and this attracts more people to use their service.

However, Gmail did not have the option to cancelling the delivery of a sent message. For instance, if a user clicks the 'Send' option, he had no chance of cancelling the delivery of the mail. But now, Google has introduced a new feature called 'Undo Send', which enables the users to cancel a sent mail, is they found it to be inappropriate.

The 'undo send' feature was available in the Google Labs from the past six years. However, the company was working on its development.

The 'Undo Send' option allows the user to cancel the sending of a mail within 0 seconds of hitting the send button.

The tool delays the delivery of emails from five to thirty seconds after the send button is pressed to give users a fleeting chance to retrieve an email mistakenly sent to the wrong person or an ill conceived communiqué.

Thus, the introduction of the 'undo send' option will prevent misdirected and inappropriate emails.
