Mindy Kaling Shares Why She Loves Filming Sex Scenes In New Book "Why Not Me"

Mindy Kaling's Book Why Not Me might not have been released yet until September but Washington Post recently revealed an excerpt of the much-awaited book.

In the chapter entitled, "I love sex scenes," the 35-year old writer-producer of the Mindy Project said that she finds joy in filming sex scenes, Fox News said.

"Obviously onscreen sex is not actual penetrative sex, but, as any religious high schooler will tell you, simulating sex can be pretty damn enjoyable as well," she said.

She also take note that other crew members are also present in the sex scenes filming which makes it more exciting.

"To that I say, the more, the merrier! Most of those people are artists whose job it is to make sure your physical imperfections are cloaked in mysterious shadows. By the end of the shooting day, you'll wish there were more people there."

In a previous interview with Time Magazine via Huffington Post, Mindy expressed appreciation about Chris Messina's acting. In the Mindy Project, Chris acted as Mindy's on-screen boyfriend.

"Chris Messina is the most in-touch-with-his-body person of all time, and all he does is make you feel beautiful and confident. I've known him now for quite some time and we're so comfortable with each other that I wasn't self-conscious at all. I wish on every actress that they get to shoot a sex scene with Chris Messina, because it's great fun," she said during the interview.

Mindy Kaling is also recently involved in an upcoming Pixar movie, Inside Out, wherein she is behind the voice of the character Disgust.

According to Denver Post, the film made the young writer-producer to reflect on her childhood and rethink what she should include in her Islands of Personality.
