Dust on Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge has barely settled and rumors surrounding its successor are already making headlines. According to the latest leak, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will feature a larger 5.5-inch curved screen, compared to 5.1-inch screen on Galaxy S6 Edge.

Render from the well-known and generally reliable account @OnLeaks, shows a device that is both taller and wider than the original S6 Edge.

The render also sports some minor differences, such as the bottom microphone has been swapped to the opposite side, and the volume buttons appear to have been slightly repositioned.

Widely expected to be called "Galaxy S6 Edge Plus," the phone might be shipped with a six-core Qualcomm processor, rather than the Samsung Exynos chips that are in the S6 and S6 Edge.

The leaked render, alongside pictures of dummy units used to help third-party accessory designers, also shows a standard microUSB port, as opposed to a larger USB Type-C port, Forbes noted.

S6 Edge Plus Release Date

There's no official word on the release date of S6 Edge Plus (obviously) but according to some rumors the smartphone may debut in late June. Another school of rumors suggest that Samsung might unveil it at September's annual IFA electronics show in Berlin.
