'True Detective Season 2' News: 3 Reasons That Will Make The Upcoming Sequel Better Than The Previous One
True Detective Season 2 is premiering in about a week and so we've every reason to get excited. Here're three reasons that we think will make the upcoming sequel of "True Detective" better than the original:
Cast
No doubt, season 1's duo of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson made "True Detective" what it is today. But we believe the Season 2 cast might be even stronger. The 2015's episodes offer four famous faces including Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch.
Fewer Supernatural Elements
Season 1 was but wasn't the ending a bit strange? Well, at least we believe so. According to hints, in the upcoming season of "True Detective," Pizzolatto could ground the story deeper in reality. The show creator, during a Q&A, was quoted saying: "True Detective" season 2 features "closer character work and a more grounded crime story."
Setting
"True Detective" season 1 was set in Louisiana and the next season is moving to the bustling cities of California.
"True Detective" season 2 premieres June 21 on HBO.
