Kristen Stewart’s Mom Confirms Daughter’s Lesbian Relationship with Alicia Cargile

Kristen Stewart's mother, Jules Stewart, has confirmed the actress' lesbian relationship with Alicia Cargile.

"What's not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She's happy," Jules said in an interview with the Sunday Mirror. "She's my daughter, I'm just her mum so she knows I would accept her choices. I've met Kristen's new girlfriend, I like her. What's not to accept? She's a lovely girl."

The 25-year-old "Still Alice" star has been rumored to be dating Cargile for a few months already. The couple has been photographed holding hands and was reportedly seen kissing. The relationship, however, was never confirmed until now.

In the interview, Jules, 55, added that she is supportive of her daughter regardless of who she dates.

"I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men," she said. "It's OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends so we should be free to choose our lovers. People are good to do whatever they like as long as they're not hurting people or breaking the law. I have gay friends, family members, I'm accepting of people, we are all free to choose who we want to love."

Before dating Cargile, Stewart was in a long-term relationship with her "Twilight" co-star, Robert Pattinson, who she cheated on with Rupert Sanders, the director of her other film, "Snow White and the Hunstman." Sanders was married at the time of the scandal.

Pattinson is ready to walk down the aisle with his new love, FKA twigs.
