Shopify is partnering with social media giant, Facebook to create a "Buy" button that is directly embedded in the posts. The inclusion of button means there will be fewer number of steps between an advertised product and sale of that product.

Another advantage for users is that they need not to leave their newsfeed in-order to make the purchase.

According to Shopify, a select group of Shopify merchants have already had been able to post products with the "Buy" button, and today they are opening up the feature in beta to include other businesses, SlashGear noted.

"Today we are beginning a beta test of the Facebook buy button with a group of US-based Shopify merchants. If you are among the invited merchants, you'll see this message show up on the Home screen in your Shopify account over the next few weeks," Shopify noted in an announcement blog-post.

Facebook stated that all credit and debit card info will be kept private and users can opt-in to save their payment info with Facebook with faster, future purchases.
