If rumors are to be believed, next version of Moto X will be sold for about $464. Codenamed Calisto, Moto X 3rd Gen. will be available as early as September.

GSMArena is also reporting that Moto X 3rd Gen will feature a 5.2" Quad HD display, supporting 1440 x 2560 pixel native resolution. It will run on 4-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 mobile chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM.

The report further added that the phone will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and will feature a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter, perfect for selfies.

According to a separate report by STJS 3rd Generation Moto X would be capable of 4K recording at 30 frames per second, 1080p recording at 60 and 120 frames per second and 720p recording at 240 frames per second.

According to GottaBeMobile, Moto X 2015 will be a great improvement compared to the company's previous releases because it can compete with other known brands and not only "slightly undercut the competition." It added that the phone will have 32GB to 64GB storage with a micro-SD slot for expandable memory and will be powered by a 3,280 mAh battery.

"Motorola will be improving the cameras, adding more internal storage and bring back the famed micro-SD slot to better compete against Samsung's Galaxy S6, and employ a powerful 8-core processor to notch out the 6-core LG G4 that was just released this week," GottaBeMobile noted in an article.

Moto X 2015 is the first smartphone from Motorola after Lenovo recently bought it.
