MLB Trade Deadline: David Price and Jon Lester head to AL Central and West leaders; List of trades from July 31

The 2014 MLB regular season has featured a lot of mediocrity, which has left many teams still in the hunt for a postseason berth. That may explain the flurry of moves done at Thursday's 4.p.m. non-waiver trade deadline. Here are all the trades from July 31, according to the MLB website:

Boston Red Sox and Oakland A's:

The first big trade of the day occurred between the Red Sox and A's. The A's sent left fielder Yoenis Cespedes to the Sox for left-handed ace Jon Lester.

Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals:

The Sox also traded starter John Lackey. They sent Lackey to the Cardinals for right-handed starter Joe Kelly and right fielder Allen Craig.

Tampa Bay Rays, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners:

The Detroit Tigers received right hander David Price in this three-way deal. The Mariners will receive center fielder Austin Jackson. The Rays will receive left-handed starter Drew Smyly from the Tigers and shortstop Nick Franklin from the Mariners.

Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles:

The Red Sox sent left-handed reliever Andrew Miller to the Red Sox for minor league left hander Eduardo Rodriguez

Washington Nationals and Cleveland Indians:

The Nationals shipped infielder Zach Walters to the Indians for shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera and cash.

Milwaukee Brewers and Arizona Diamondbacks:

The Brewers acquired right fielder Gerardo Parra for two minor leaguers in the Brewers organization - left-handed starter Anthony Banda and outfielder Mitch Haniger.

New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox:

The Yankees acquired shortstop Stephen Drew from the Red Sox for infielder Kelly Johnson.

New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks:

The Diamondbacks sent Martin Prado (and will also send cash or a player to be named) to the Yankees for Yankee minor league shortstop Pete O'Brien.

Miami Marlins and Houston Astros:

The Marlins received starter Jarred Cosart, ultility player Kike Hernandez and minor league outfielder Austin Waites. In return the Astros received minor league third baseman Colin Moran, outfielder Jake Marisnick and right-hander Francis Martes. The Marlins also sent the Astros a 2015 Competitive Balance pick.

Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves:

The Cubs sent left-handed reliever James Russell and utility player Emilio Bonifacio to the Braves for minor league catcher Victor Caratini.

San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners:

The Padres sent outfielder Chris Denorfia to the Mariners for minor league outfielder Abraham Almonte and minor league (and right-handed) reliever Stephen Kohlscheen.
