First Batch of Apple HomeKit Devices Is Here: All About Them

Ahead of upcoming Apple's WorldWide Developer Conference, first batch of Apple HomeKit products are available to buy/preorder.

The devices will work with Siri for voice commands and can be grouped together into scenes and rooms for easier control.

Lutron's Casèta Wireless Switches

Caséta Wireless Lighting Starter Kit with HomeKit-enabled Smart Bridge is selling for $229.95. The kit has two dimmers, two remotes and two pedestals with the option to add additional dimmer and remotes for $59.95. An Apple Watch app is available.

SmartHome's Insteon Hub Pro

HomeKit enabled SmartHome's Insteon Hub Pro is available for $150 which will arrive by July. The hub will act as central server for both HomeKit and Insteaon products like switches, door sensors, and lights.

ecobee3

ecobee3 is a Wi-Fi thermostat that has a 2 to 3 week delivery window and sets you back for $249.95. It also supports remote control from iOS devices and auto-away detection feature will not heat your room when you're away.

Elgato's Eve

Product line of Elgato's Eve is also available on a pre-order basis. Eve Room measures and reports on indoor air quality, temperature and humidity. Eve Weather provides outdoor temps, humidity and air pressure.

Eve Door and Windows Sensors will keep track of open and close actions along with time and duration.
