Asus Unveils ZenFone Selfie: 13 MP Front Camera For Selfies, 5.5-Inch Display and Snapdragon 515

Asus has unveiled a new smartphone - the ZenFone Selfie - sporting a 13MP front-facing camera for selfie lovers.

The ZenFone Selfie resembles the ZenFone 2 and boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p screen with a Gorilla Glass 4.

"A trailblazing fusion of fashion, technology and craftsmanship that melds the finest front and rear cameras, multiple special shooting modes, fluid ZenUI interface and a stunning, detail-rich display for a unique selfie experience that captures the perfect you," Asus said in a press release.

The 13MP front camera features a dual-tone flash, auto focus, wide view, and PixelMaster. The PixelMaster selfie experience packs in modes such as beautification, ZenMotion, HDR, Selfie Panorama, and low light, TechTimes noted.

The smartphone also packs a 13MP rear-facing camera that has laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, PixelMaster, and Auto-Focus.

"With this special wide-angle mode and ZenFone Selfie's f/2.2-aperture front lens and 88-degree field of view, you'll capture panoramic selfies of up to 140 degrees," Asus added.

The smartphone will pack-in 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on the model i.e. 16GB or 32GB. It will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Asus did not mention the price or availability of the ZenFone Selfie.
