Iggy Azalea Cancels 'The Great Escape' Tour in the United States
Bad news for Iggy Azalea fans who were eagerly waiting to see her perform on her latest tour. The Australian rapper has canceled her 'Great Escape' US arena tour.
On Friday, ticket holders "The Great Escape" tour received an email notifying them that all dates had been canceled, according to JustJared.
"The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase. There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience," the email read.
The shows have also been listed as "canceled" on Ticketmaster.com, with ticket siteAXS.com saying there are "no Iggy Azalea dates."
However, this is not the first time she has cancelled a show. Plans for the "Fancy" rapper's shows began to unravel this past March. Iggy, 24, pushed back multiple concerts "due to tour production delays," but dispelled rumors that the full tour itself was cancelled.
"To accommodate for creative team availability and tour production plans, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring," Azalea's team said at the time. "It is extremely important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development... The tour getting pushed back only means that it'll be way more amazing than it would've been in April. Good things take time."
