Boy dies in freak accident in a public toilet: Report
The boy, who has not been named, was playing with his friends outside when he visited the public toilet in the city of Thane, India, according to the Mirror.
Unfortunately, the septic tank exploded in the corner of the cubicle he was using, inflicting major injuries after the lid of the tank landed on him.
The explosion was caused by gas collecting in the tank's vents.
According to the report, trash had blocked its vents causing a high-pressure gas collection.
The boy suffered severe head injuries after the tank lid landed on him.
Santosh Kadam, of Thane Municipal Corporation, said: 'We received a call at around 8.30 pm. After examining the spot, it was found that the ventilation area was covered by rubbish, due to which the gas kept accumulating inside the tank, thereby creating high pressure.'
