If you happen to live in Rockaway, New Jersey and happened to be out for a stroll, be warned that two massive black bears were caught on camera in a knock-down, drag-out brawl on a quiet residential street, according to reports.

In video uploaded to YouTube earlier this week, the fighting bears went tumbling down a grassy hill that led up to a house in Rockaway, NJ.

The video, said to be taken Aug. 14 and uploaded to YouTube this week, shows the bears duking it out on a residential street in Rockaway for 6 1/2 minutes.

The person taking the video appears to have stayed inside their car during the bear brawl.

Sisto Realty, whose sign is in front of the home, confirmed to the Daily Record that the property is 7 Comanche Ave. in the White Meadow Lake area of the township. The property is located between two large forests, the Wildcat Ridge State Wildlife Management Area and Valley View Woods, according to NJ.com.

Kelcey Burguess, the principal wildlife biologist and Black Bear Project leader for the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife, said he saw the video on Tuesday.

"They're probably fighting or playing because there's a good-looking lady in the area," Burguess said. "It's really common to have fights during mating season."

Although such fights are not seen in residential areas - and it does appear violent - the fight is nothing to be concerned about, even for residents on that street, Burguess said.

"It can be pretty vicious, but it's normal behavior," Burguess said.
