Explosions rock Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung
At least 15 people have been killed and hundreds hospitalized after a series of gas explosions rocked the Taiwanese port city of Kaohsiung.
Russia Today reports that along with the 15 fatalities, at least 220 people have been injuried in a series of explosions believed to have been caused by gas leaks in the city of Kaohsiung's sewage systems.
The explosions began around 9 p.m. local time July 31. Reports from before the explosion say the streets were enveloped in a white gaseous cloud shortly before the explosions began.
Dozens of images and videos of the explosions quickly proliferated on social media.
