Khloe Kardashian Courts Niqab Controversy in Dubai
Khloe Kardashian's unusually choice of conservative fashion has stirred up a cultural controversy.
According to E Online, Khloe posted an image to Instagram showing her wearing a niqab, a loose garment worn by Muslim women that covers the body leaving only the eyes exposed. The reality star posted an image with the caption 'Habibi Love' during her quick trip to Dubai.
"This is so disrespectful to all Muslim women! Stop disrespecting every culture please... disgusting," one user responded to the post.
"When she wears then it's cute and it looks nice on her, but when a Muslim wears it they are considered a terrorist," another user wrote.
Other users who came to Khloe's defense said she looked hot and was not respecting any culture or religion.
"I am from Dubai :) and i know that she doesn't have to wear it and we Emiraties wear it our selves in a way to make it look fashionable :) plus I'm a local here and I don't feel offended," one user reportedly explained.
