A new teaser of Five Nights at Freddy's 4 has sent curious fans into a tizzy as they try to discern what the image means for the series.

Amidst speculation that it could be the last in the series developed by Scott Cawthon, the fourth installation is being dubbed the 'Final Chapter', set for release October 31 this year. According to Christian Today, the teaser image is that of Chica, an evil animatronic with three rows of razor sharp teeth.

Chica has appeared earlier in the series before appearing in a new avatar on the teaser image, with the question 'Was it me?' splashed across. Cawthon has released a few other teasers of the fourth instalment.

Fans also found that the HTML code of the game's website randomly features numbers '7' and '8' which is being interpreted as a reference to the 'bite of 87' incident that was alluded to in clips and recordings during gameplay.

The incident involved one of the possessed animatronics biting a child. Based on the cues, fans speculate the game will reveal the story behind the animatronics including Freddy, Foxy, Bonnie, and Chica and a few other characters, thus concluding the series.
