George Bush Writes Biography of Father
Former President George Bush has written a biography of his father -President George H.W.Bush.
The book will be released on November 11, Crown Publishers told the Associated Press. Crown published the former president's memoirs "Decision Points" in 2010.
"George H.W. Bush is a great servant, statesman, and father, I loved writing the story of his life, and I hope others enjoy reading it." George W. Bush said in a statement issued by Crown, reports cbsnews.com.
The book covers the whole life of the elder Bush and his influence on his son and in his decision to get into politics to his own two- term presidency, revealed Crown Publication.
"As the only father and son to each have served as President of the United States since John and John Quincy Adams, George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush occupy a unique position in history," Maya Mavjee of Crown Publications said. "George W. Bush brings to vivid life his unique perspective of the personal qualities and principles that have animated George H. W. Bush's extraordinary life of service to country and family. "She added the book will be "heartfelt, intimate, and illuminating," said Mavjee, reports The Seattle Times.
George W Bush thought of writing the book in 2010 and later consulted with friends and family members..
"George H. W. Bush: Character at the Core," by former Bush speechwriter Curt Smith, is scheduled to come out this fall.
In modern times only few presidents haven't written a memoir and George W.H Bush is one among the few. The former president has written other books namely, "All the Best: My Life in Letters and Other Writings" and "A World Transformed," a collaboration with former National Security Adviser Brent Scowcroft.
