IS Militants Sneak Into Europe In Migrant Boats
Islamic State (ISIL) militants are migrating into Europe along with refugees across the Mediterranean Sea. They use migrant boats "as the European police don't know who is from ISIL and who is a normal refugee or not," Libyan government adviser Abdul Basit Haroun said, according to sputnik.
Haroun claimed that he had learnt about it while talking to boat owners in North Africa, which was monitored by ISIL militants. IS fighters permit human traffickers to conduct operations in areas under their control, if they can seize half the smugglers' income.
Haroun said IS used the boats "for their people who they want to send to Europe," according to BBC.
"The boat owners have a list of who to take but some people come suddenly and they're told, 'take them with you.' They sit down separately, and in the boat they are not scared at all," he said, according to independent.
The Islamic State dominates Syria and Iraq and is also trying to penetrate into Libya, exploiting the atmosphere of unrest here.
The Libyan government warns that IS militants pretend to be refugees and try to infiltrate Italy. Migrants who are trying to escape Africa and the Middle East try to get into Europe.
After some deadly migrant boat accidents, the European Commission had said that it was ready to take in 20,000 refugees in the following two years and help them to spread into different EU member states.
