One photograph of a Jerusalem university professor holding a student's baby even as he teaches in class has summoned "a lot of love on the Internet", according to ctvnews.

One thing is for sure---Prof Sydney Engleberg's lecture couldn't be more interesting to students when it's delivered with a weepy baby in hand.

The 45-year lecturing veteran at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem is also the father-of-four and grandfather-of-five, which makes him fairly skilled at both jobs.

The picture was put up on Reddit earlier this week, showing Prof. Sydney Engelberg from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem cradling a baby during a lecture.

The story splashed the headlines on Jerusalem Post, describing the baby crying in a class, which spurred the mother, a student in the room, to stand and get ready to leave. Engelberg picked the baby up and just resumed his lecture on organizational behaviour.

His daughter, Sarit Fishbaine, put up his wailing lecture on her Facebook page, and labeled him "the best dad in the world." She said that he allows the mothers who attend his lectures to bring their children and even breastfeed. No mother should have to choose between a child and an education, according to Engelberg.

"There's a lot of young moms and a lot of them have babies, and he encourages them to just bring their babies to class," she said, according to buzzfeed.

The picture was shared more than 4,400 times in Facebook. Some commented with fulsome praise.

"I'm so impressed and touched," one user said. "I just wrote your dad and offered peace and friendship... I love when people practice what they preach."

Another user praised him for creating a welcoming learning environment for new mothers.

"Well done. Lectures with a soul that encourage mothers to learn," one user wrote.
