Australian Authorities Threaten to Put Johnny Depp's Dogs Down
Johnny Depp has been given an ultimatum by Australian quarantine authorities after he failed to have his two dogs, Pistol and Boo quarantined.
If the actor does not remove his dogs by Saturday, they could be put down.
Agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce has accused Depp of breaking import laws when brought his Yorkshire terriers to Australia on his private jet.
"If you start letting movie stars - even though they've been the sexiest man alive twice - to come into our nation (with pets), then why don't we just break laws for everybody?" Joyce said.
The Hollywood star came to Australia on April 21st to resume the shoot of the fourth sequel to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
People are required to have their dogs quarantined for a minimum of 10 days while entering the country. This is usually done to prevent the spread of any possible diseases.
Depp along with his wife Amber Heard have now been given a 72 hour notice by the Agricultural Department.
Joyce said, "Mr Depp has to either take his dogs back to California or we are going to have to euthanise them.
"He's now got about 50 hours left to remove the dogs. He can put them on the same charter jet he flew in on and fly back out of our nation."
Joyce then went on to add, "After that, I don't expect to be invited to the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean."
