Perez Hilton Welcomes Baby Daughter Mia Alma or 'My Soul' in Spanish Because he's 'Cheesy Like That'
Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is a father again, according to a new photo he released on social media.
The 37-year-old blogger and multimedia entrepreneur welcomed daughter Mia Alma on May 9 via surrogate.
Hilton made the surprise announcement on Instagram and his website.
"It is with great pride and relief that I can finally announce: I am a dad again," Perez, 37, said. "The road to this birth has been a difficult journey, quite different from the first time, and my son and I are overjoyed at this happy and healthy addition to our family."

"Every child is a blessing and this Mother's Day was extra blessed for me and my mother! From my family to yours, much love!"
His daughter's name means "my soul" in Spanish, he said, "because I'm cheesy like that."
Hilton welcomed his first child, a son named Mario, in February 2013. Shortly after that, he explained he "didn't want to keep waiting" for a partner before having kids. Mario was carried by a surrogate.
He also didn't tell anyone, except for his mom and sister, that he was expecting another child.
"It's been the hardest secret I've kept in a long time," Hilton said, according to an interview with Perez Hilton.
He said he's speaking out now as an advocate for surrogacy and in-vitro fertilization, "in response to Dolce & Gabbana." The fashion designers publicly decried such fertility measures earlier this year, resulting in a boycott led by Elton John and supported by Hilton.
