The South Korean giant now aims to amplify their products working on the Tizen platform and thus reducing the number of smart phones on the Android platform.

Samsung finally opened the doors of the Tizen Store across the globe and is now encouraging developers to bring more apps on the Tizen platform.

At the launch, Tizen Store has twenty five apps spread across four categories i.e., games, apps to plan new resolutions, photography and EA games.

Of the twenty five apps, fourteen of them are gaming while photography takes the second spot with over six apps.

Thus, Samsung is trying to attract more users towards the Tizen platform, and ultimately increasing the number of smart phones on Tizen and completely reducing their dependence on Android.

Samsung has released several Tizen powered devices such as the smart T's and wearable's such as the Gear S and Gear Fit.

However, there is only one device that supports the Tizen Store which is the Samsung Z1.

Samsung has also confirmed that Tizen Store can now be accessed in 82 countries.
