Despite several peace talks between the Taliban militants, the latter has still continued to wage attacks on the former.

Taliban militants killed around thirteen policemen after storming outposts in Afghanistan's remote mountainous north-east.

The interior ministry stated," Enemies of peace and stability in Afghanistan attacked police points in Warduj district of Badakhshan".

The raid that took place in the Badakhshan province took place after a similar Taliban raid on army checkpoints in the province in which eighteen soldiers were killed.
