The South Korean giant has now opened Tizen stores at the global level, even in countries where the demand for the system is quite low.

Samsung's strategy of shooting up Tizen stores at the global level gives us hints that the company now aims in decreasing its dependence on the Android platform and seeks to base their products on Tizen platform. Up until now, Samsung had only one phone i.e., the Samsung Z1 on the Tizen platform. However, for Samsung to bring more phones on the Tizen platform, it has to increase the number of developers for Tizen software. This might be one of the reasons for the South Korean giant for opening stores at the global level, and trying to hit the race against Google.

Samsung also launched six smart watches that operate on the Tizen platform, which also require better app eco system to survive the competition from Android Wear.

However, it won't be an easy task for Samsung to compete against the established giants at the global level.
